Without “Community,” It’s Just a Garden: Giving Thanks

Check out what our small but mighty team of volunteers accomplished last Saturday! They braved 45-55 mph winds to move the remaining soil and compost into our 20 raised garden beds. What does this mean? This means our community gardeners can get planting!

Please help us thank our neighborhood partners who made this last, very important piece of prepping the garden a reality:

  • Tiffany Lawn & Garden were a delight to work with and gave us deep discounts on soil and compost. Check them out: tiffanylawn.com.
  • Hoosier Tools donated the use of a Bobcat to allow us to move soil from the parking area to the garden. Thanks to Stephen Lee for this generous donation (317-466-5060). Hoosier Tools has all kinds of items available for rent: check them out at www.hoosiertoolrental.com.
  • Local landscaper Robert Sickle (317-224-8184) spent his Saturday morning moving 18 cubic yards of soil to the garden, which saved us from the backbreaking labor of moving it my wheelbarrow. Robert does beautiful work and provides free estimates!
