Join Us for Our Second Organizing Meeting: The Rubber Hits the Road (Pitchfork Hits the Compost?)!

Please join us (and bring a neighbor or friend!) for the Keystone-Monon Community Garden’s second organizing meeting! We will hit the ground running during this very important meeting as we work to establish our garden’s mission, or the primary ideas that will drive and guide us as we create our community garden.

Meeting Flyer 3/27/15

WHEN: Friday, March 27, 7-8:30 pm

WHERE: Easter Seals Crossroads, 4740 Kingsway Dr, Indianapolis, IN 46205 (just east of Keystone at 52nd St.; please park in South lot)

Thank you to Easter Seals Crossroads for the generous use of their 5th floor meeting space! Please park in the South Parking Lot, take the elevator to the 5th floor, and turn left to find our meeting space.

SNEAK PREVIEW: We will have special guest Ginny Roberts, Urban Garden Program Assistant with Purdue Extension – Marion County, joining us to share her experiences starting community and school gardens across Indianapolis, and we’ve got some updates on Arsenal Park.

Most importantly, we’ll be establishing our garden’s mission, or the ideas that will help guide us as we work to create this beautiful neighborhood space. Join us!

More About Mission Development: Developing a community-developed, consensus-based mission will help us move forward in so many ways: making our proposal for land use; approaching partners, supporters, and potential funders; describing what it is we’re trying to do to fellow neighbors; and guiding us as decide where to focus our efforts and what activities support our mission. The more people, the better! Please spread the word on your block, at your children’s schools, at your church – everywhere!
